Why “Falling Off Track” Doesn’t Matter (If You Know This)

Messing up doesn’t ruin your progress — quitting does.

The Minimalist Minute

Welcome to the weekly dose of brain juice that helps you build better habits, get fit and live longer.

If you still haven’t downloaded your copy of The Habits Academy, you can get it here.

In today’s instalment:

  • Why “falling off track” doesn’t matter (if you know this)

  • The difference between a mistake and a meltdown

#habits

You missed a workout.
You ate like crap yesterday.
You haven’t tracked a habit in over a week.

That’s not failure — it’s friction.

Too many people mistake a slip for a spiral. The key difference between someone who makes progress and someone who doesn’t is this:

They get back on track. Quickly.

Instead of starting from scratch every time you mess up, treat it like a detour — not a dead end.

Success doesn’t come from being perfect. It comes from learning how to restart faster each time you stumble.

#longevity

Health is a long game. You’re going to mess up. You’re going to fall off track. But that doesn’t matter — if you don’t quit.

Consistency over months and years is what matters, not what happens on one bad day or one rough week.

Think of your health like investing. A single dip in the market doesn’t ruin your wealth — pulling all your money out in a panic does.

Same with your body.

Keep going.
