  • Complexity - The killer of your new habits

  • Take the f***ing stairs

#habits

We’re into week 4 of 2024 (already?!?!) and statistically, this week means failure for a lot of New Year’s resolutions. Quite often, it’s due to doing too much, too soon.

The reasearch is clear, the more habits you try and adopt at the same time, the more likely you are to fail.

Experts like Stanford researcher BJ Fogg suggest you can build a maximum of three new habits simultaneously. That’s why we focus on 3-5 high-impact habits in the Habits Academy and no more.

After coaching thousands of people over the years, simplicity always wins. It gives you nowhere to hide and maximum self-accountability. Don’t over complicate it.

Take a look at that list, is there something you can cut to make that goal a little bit more achievable?

#longevity

Are you someone who takes the stairs? Well if you do it daily, you might be reducing your risk of heart disease or stroke by 20 percent.

This study used data from more than 458,000 people and tracked their health over 12 years. The scientists found a clear relationship between those who walked stairs daily and a lower incidence of cardiovascular disease.
