#habits

A quarter of 2024 is gone already. If you’ve failed to get started or faltered shortly after beginning you're not alone. Here are some useful tips to get the momentum back this year:

  • Pick one new habit you can do, rain, hail or shine

    • Pick a number of days you’re going to repeat it for

  • Leverage these two accountability levers:

    • A buddy - tell them what you’re going to do, get them to hold you to it

    • Money - Pick an amount that makes you say “Shit, that’s a lot of money”, give it to your buddy and tell them to keep it safe

If you hit the goal, they give it back. If you miss it, they keep it.

As we age, we lose muscle mass and strength. It’s called sarcopenia.

If we let it get too bad, it increases our risk of injury from falls, osteoporosis and even premature death.

The news isn’t all bad though, resistance training has been proven to reduce the impacts of aging and even reverse some of the effects.
